2014 BUICK LACROSSE SALES REFERENCE GUIDE 7
For GM salesperson use only. Not intended for advertising purposes. Product information is preliminary. Production models may vary.
SAFETY SHOULD BE SIMPLE AND INTUITIVE — NOT INTRUSIVE.
That’s the approach Buick engineers have taken with the 2014 LaCrosse.
A comprehensive suite of safety technologies provides the most advanced protection Buick has ever
offered, with features you won’t find on competitors. From every angle, they offer the best kind of
protection: helping drivers avoid crashes.
In short, LaCrosse will work with drivers — not against them — to ensure they and their passengers
arrive safely.

DRIVER CONFIDENCE I:
COMPETITIVE COMPARISON
DRIVER CONFIDENCE II:
FEATURE BENEFIT
Side Blind Zone Alert This feature displays a signal on the outside mirror to alert the
driver if a vehicle enters the blind zone.
NEW! Lane Change Alert
(shown above right)
This segment-exclusive feature looks 230 feet behind the vehicle
to detect fast-moving traffic in the blind zone.
NEW! Lane Departure Warning If the driver drifts out of their lane without signaling, this feature
will issue a warning.
NEW! Forward Collision Alert This feature alerts the driver of possible collision threats ahead.
NEW! Rear Cross Traffic Alert (shown
above left)
This feature warns the driver of approaching traffic when
reversing, which is especially useful for backing out of a
parking spot.
NEW! Head-Up Display To help keep the driver’s eyes on the road, this feature projects
information onto the windshield so it can be viewed quickly
and easily.
NEW! Fog lamps Fog lamps provide another layer or protection by
increasing visibility.
NEW! Articulating HID Headlamps Articulating HID Headlamps turn as the vehicle turns to help the
driver see around corners at night.
FEATURE BENEFIT
NEW! Collision Mitigation Braking If the driver does not react quickly enough when an imminent
crash is detected, this feature applies the brakes in an effort to
avoid the crash.
NEW! Safety Alert Seat This GM-patented, segment-exclusive feature uses haptic
seat vibrations to alert the driver for all crash-avoidance
features (excl. Forward Collision Alert). It better communicates
the direction of the danger and is less intrusive.
NEW! Full-Speed Range Adaptive
Cruise Control
In both free-moving and stop-and-go traffic, this feature will
automatically brake and accelerate to maintain a preselected
following distance from the vehicle ahead.
